Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Richmond American Homes. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and completion of quality homes within desired time frames and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of new home construction at the subdivision level, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and within the specified timeframe.
  • Oversee and schedule all construction-related activities on a given project or multiple projects for residential housing, delegating tasks as necessary to Assistant Superintendents, Laborers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage and control all direct and indirect construction expenditures for the subdivision, ensuring that all costs are within budget.
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and philosophies, including safety and OSHA compliance, and train subcontractors on these requirements.
  • Safeguard the job site from hazardous situations and materials, and interact with local governing jurisdictions to obtain required inspections and certifications.
  • Manage the completion of homeowner orientations, expediting the completion of homeowner orientation letter items and orientation repair items within the desired timeframe.
Requirements
  • High School or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Five years or more of previous residential or commercial construction experience, with a strong knowledge of one or more building trades and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Excellent organizational skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
