QUALIFICATIONS:

REPORTS TO: Superintendent & Board of Trustees

JOB GOAL: The Financial Operations Manager is accountable to the Superintendent for overseeing and coordinating the financial management of the district, which encompasses all school funds. This role also includes managing business service operations, administrative data processing, and facility usage and rental, along with other related administrative duties.

The Financial Operations Manager acts as a key resource in the domains of school finance, revenue structures, and business management systems. Additionally, this position serves as the Grant Administrator, responsible for fulfilling legal obligations and directives from the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

ADMINISTRATIVE:

Accountable to the Superintendent for adherence to all policies established by the Board, as well as relevant regulations and laws; recommends new policies to the Superintendent as necessary.

Oversees the business operations of the school district, which includes payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, facility rentals, revenue generation, budgeting, accounting, and grant management.

Communicates any requests or issues that require Board of Trustees action to the Superintendent on behalf of business services.

Collaborates with administrative and instructional leaders to plan, coordinate, and implement operational systems.

Interprets district policies and practices related to business and financial services for other administrative departments.

Serves as a member of the Superintendent's administrative team.

Works with administrative and instructional leaders on long-term facility planning.

Assumes responsibility for any additional duties assigned by the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees.
