Job Title: Director of Finance

Hospice of the Foothills is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to achieve organizational goals
  • Oversee financial reporting, including financial statements, budget variances, and cash flow analysis
  • Manage financial systems, including accounting, payroll, and accounts payable
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax laws, employment standards, and occupational health and safety
  • Provide financial guidance and support to management and the Board of Directors
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
  • Manage financial risk and ensure adequate insurance coverage
  • Oversee the acquisition and disposal of capital assets
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and external auditors

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in accounting and business administration
  • Five years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit agency
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA degree with extensive knowledge of accounting and business administration
  • CPA certification
