We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Regional Events Manager. This role will be responsible for planning and executing all AHLA Regional events and external meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the AHLA Regional Event Series, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality experiences for attendees.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including function specifications, food and beverage arrangements, and audio-visual requirements.
  • Set up and execute webinars and virtual programs, working closely with the department coordinator to manage the AHLA calendar.
  • Collaborate with the State and Local Government Affairs team to invite elected officials and other stakeholders to events.
  • Manage registration and relationship management for AHLA partnership events, providing support as needed for events requiring a higher level of personal engagement.
  • Serve as the marketing liaison, drafting copy and coordinating event marketing materials, and supporting the department coordinator with relevant website pages.
  • Assist with event social media efforts in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications department.
  • Create RFPs, conduct site research, and contract events and meetings as assigned.
  • Coordinate housing and overflow arrangements, rooming lists, and monitor hotel pick-up reports as needed.
  • Assist with association committees as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write and edit clear, engaging content.
  • Self-motivated individual with a high level of professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer-service focused with a positive attitude and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Additional Information:

  • Position located in Washington, DC.
  • Rotating hybrid work schedule: In-office Tues-Thurs and Mon-Thurs every other week.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Salary: $70,000-$75,000.
