Job Description

This role is responsible for performing in-depth analyses that enhance one or more Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs, assisting The Ladders in effectively managing credit, market, and operational risks. Key programs include Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL), Comprehensive Stress Testing, Risk Adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC), and Model Risk Management. The analyses conducted will be pivotal in supporting organization-wide initiatives through risk identification and quantification.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contribute to the formulation and advancement of risk metrics for the organization. Develop, maintain, and refine reports for key stakeholders.
2. Manage one or more ERM processes, including periodic model execution, output aggregation, and result reporting.
3. Leverage data and insights to facilitate risk-informed decision-making.
4. Source and cleanse data, establishing business rules for data preparation for various processes.
5. Query, aggregate, and manipulate extensive datasets for diverse analyses, transforming information into actionable business insights.
6. Assist in designing efficient department/system processes for Risk Management that adhere to regulatory standards. Lead change initiatives and prepare related training materials.
7. Promote best practices in modeling and model risk management, including parameterization and calibration of forecasting models, ongoing monitoring of model assumptions, and documentation updates.
8. Provide technical expertise and analytical support for ad-hoc analyses and visualization development, potentially establishing standards for the organization.
9. Monitor data integrity and execution of model risk controls, proactively identifying risks and resolving issues.
10. Support executive-level risk committees and working groups, including the preparation of committee packages and presentations.
11. Communicate technical findings in both informal and formal settings.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required
Work Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and risk management is required.

Physical Requirements

This position is primarily sedentary, requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel may be required, typically once a month or less.

About The Ladders

The typical base pay range for this role is between $86,961 - $120,919. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organizational and individual performance.
