Position Overview


This role is situated within the VMC Emergency clinic, where the primary responsibilities include welcoming, registering, and guiding clients and their pets to the appropriate waiting areas. The position involves creating, reviewing, and updating electronic health records for clients and patients, as well as scheduling appointments through an electronic system. Additionally, the role entails collecting payments upon patient discharge and accurately documenting these transactions in an electronic format. The position also requires handling incoming calls, routing them appropriately, and relaying messages while ensuring exceptional customer service through effective communication.

Qualifications and Skills


Knowledge typically acquired through a high school education; a minimum of one year of relevant and progressively responsible experience in a medical office, clinic, or mental health setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



Preferred Qualifications

Six months to one year of experience in customer service.

Experience managing multiple calls with excellent phone etiquette; strong communication and computer skills, including proper grammar and spelling; experience in a fast-paced customer service environment; demonstrated customer service abilities and empathy skills.
