Position Overview
This role is situated within the VMC Emergency clinic, primarily responsible for managing the reception area. Duties include welcoming, registering, and directing clients along with their pets to appropriate waiting zones. Responsibilities also encompass creating, reviewing, and updating electronic health records for clients and patients, scheduling appointments through an electronic system, and processing payments during patient discharge while ensuring accurate documentation in electronic records. Additionally, this position involves handling incoming calls, routing them appropriately, and taking messages, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge typically gained through a high school education; at least one year of relevant and progressively responsible experience in a medical office, clinic, or mental health setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months to one year of experience in customer service.
Experience in managing multiple calls with excellent phone etiquette; strong communication and computer skills, including proper grammar and spelling; experience in a dynamic customer service environment; and demonstrated customer service and empathy skills.
