Position Overview
This role is situated within the VMC Emergency clinic, primarily at the reception area where you will welcome, register, and guide clients along with their pets to the appropriate waiting zones. Responsibilities include creating, reviewing, and updating electronic health records for clients and patients; scheduling patient appointments using an electronic system; processing payments during patient discharge and accurately documenting these transactions in an electronic format. Additionally, you will manage incoming calls at the call center, routing them appropriately and relaying messages as necessary. Effective communication and attentive listening are essential to deliver exceptional customer service.

Required Qualifications
Knowledge typically gained through a high school education; at least one year of relevant and progressively responsible experience in a medical office, clinic, or mental health setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of six months to one year in customer service.
Proficiency in handling multiple calls with excellent phone etiquette; strong communication and computer skills, including proper grammar and spelling; experience in a dynamic customer service environment; demonstrated customer service abilities and empathy.
