Job Summary

The Injection Molding Tooling Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance and cleaning of injection molding tools, as well as assisting in problem-solving and continuous process improvements. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the operational readiness of injection molding tools and peripherals.
  2. Coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of injection molding tools and document mold history.
  3. Manage mold spare parts and ensure quality specifications are met.
  4. Disassemble and reassemble molding tools, clean, maintain, and test them for production readiness.
  5. Support the implementation of new injection molding tools and peripherals.
  6. Assist in troubleshooting activities of injection molding tools and peripherals.
  7. Independently carry out minor repairs and maintenance on molding machines and peripherals.
  8. Work with vendors to resolve tooling issues.
  9. Maintain high-quality standards through on-the-floor interaction with employees.
  10. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to operators and other molding personnel.
  11. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding environmental protection, fire prevention, and occupational health and safety.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 years of experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment.
  • A technical degree and/or combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience in injection molds for thermoplastics and peripherals, such as hot runner systems, cavity pressure monitoring, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an interruption-prone environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong TEAM mentality required.
  • Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently.
