Position Overview

As a key member of our Strategic Innovation Center, the Scrum Master will play a vital role in steering innovative projects across various sectors including communications, space, cybersecurity, defense, health, and mobile technology. This position offers a unique opportunity to thrive in a collaborative environment that fosters professional growth and skill enhancement while engaging in diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and coordinate Agile ceremonies to ensure effective team participation.
  • Manage the prioritization of features and user stories while assessing team velocity.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to define priorities and actively participate in Sprint Reviews and Backlog Refinement sessions.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings and promote teamwork across cross-functional groups.
  • Support the Technical Director, Release Train Engineer (RTE), and Senior Leadership by coordinating efforts across teams to achieve project success.
  • Guide teams in tackling complex technical challenges and delivering product solutions aligned with Agile methodologies.
  • Assist teams in decomposing large objectives into manageable epics and user stories.
  • Maintain and update user stories within GitLab.
  • Prepare and submit status reports and deliverables.
  • Develop and present briefings for both working-level and senior leadership audiences.
  • Apply knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) processes in daily operations.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years in the IT sector, including two years as a Scrum Master.
  • Proficiency in Agile development tools such as GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, and/or Artifactory.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to cultivate collaborative relationships across all levels of engineering and management.
  • Proven ability to swiftly and accurately resolve project impediments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and a responsible team player.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desired:
  • Current certification as a Scrum Master.
  • Possession of an existing security clearance.
