Position Overview

As a Scrum Master at Peraton, you will play a pivotal role in steering innovative projects across various sectors including communications, space, cybersecurity, defense, health, and mobile technologies. Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and coordinate Agile ceremonies, ensuring effective team participation.
  • Manage feature prioritization, user stories, and assess team velocity.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to establish priorities and actively participate in Sprint Reviews and Backlog Refinement.
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings and promote cross-functional teamwork.
  • Support the Technical Director, Release Train Engineer (RTE), and Senior Leadership by coordinating efforts across teams to ensure project success.
  • Guide teams in tackling complex technical challenges and delivering product solutions aligned with Agile methodologies.
  • Assist teams in deconstructing large objectives into manageable epics and stories.
  • Create and maintain user stories in GitLab.
  • Prepare and submit status reports and deliverables.
  • Develop and present briefs for working level and senior leadership.
  • Apply Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) processes in daily operations.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years in the IT sector, including two years as a Scrum Master.
  • Proficiency in Agile development tools such as GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, and/or Artifactory.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to cultivate collaborative relationships across engineering and management levels.
  • Proven skills in swiftly and accurately resolving project impediments.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with a knack for prioritizing tasks and multitasking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and a responsible team player.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desired:
  • Current certification as a Scrum Master.
  • Possession of an existing security clearance.
