Peraton's National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit is seeking a skilled Scrum Master to enhance its SITE III JIOC contract. This position is responsible for the management, maintenance, and advancement of a suite of applications that concentrate on Collection Management, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and intelligence operations that directly assist intelligence analysts, operations, and collection managers across Combatant Commands.

Our support team employs industry best practices in architectural design, data analytics, cloud solutions, DevSecOps, and platform integration to develop, maintain, and continuously improve the enterprise business systems environment, systems integration, and backend business process workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Scrum Master duties and guide the scrum development team.
  • Utilize expertise in Agile methodologies and scrum to educate team members, providing coaching and training to empower self-organization.
  • Serve as a mediator between the scrum team and product owner, assisting in conflict resolution.
  • This role allows for remote work; typically, the position requires on-site presence twice a week, with flexibility to come in as necessary.
Specific Duties Include:
  • Leading daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demonstrations, and other project-related meetings while coaching the team on Scrum principles and best practices.
  • Facilitating open discussions and resolving conflicts; identifying and addressing issues that may arise during scrum execution; updating activities in a project management tracking tool.
  • Documenting and maintaining product requirements and the backlog.
  • Encouraging a collaborative environment, prompting team members to share ideas and tackle challenges.
  • Collaborating with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to enhance organizational Agile practices.
Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years with a BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with an MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with a PhD.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • Active TS/SCI OR TS with SCI eligibility with polygraph OR the ability to successfully pass a polygraph is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience functioning as a Scrum Master on a Scrum team.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience instructing others on Agile practices.
  • Certification: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with JIRA/Confluence/GitLab/Artifactory.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and scrum.
  • Familiarity with SAFe methodology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Experience managing expectations of multiple Product Owners.
  • Familiarity with AWS.
  • Understanding of DIA mission applications.
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana, Redmine).
  • Experience with intelligence collection management applications.
  • Experience in scrum project management, agile software development, and software version control management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adept at organizing and motivating teams.
  • Skilled in problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience with multiple Agile teams across various organizations.
