In the role of Neuroscience Account Manager, you will play a pivotal part in promoting our CNS portfolio to primary care providers and specialists, including Psychiatrists, Neurologists, and Institutional Accounts such as Skilled Nursing Facilities. Your responsibilities will include driving demand creation through comprehensive clinical knowledge, executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives in the local market, and collaborating to implement approved services tailored to the needs of each account. Our Neuroscience Account Managers excel in navigating the complexities of commercialization in today’s fast-paced environment and must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Business Planning & Account Management - Utilize digital tools and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, formulate strategies and tactics, allocate resources to optimize sales execution, and monitor progress to adjust direction for maximum sales effectiveness.

Effective Selling Techniques - Communicate messages clearly and persuasively to clients, effectively assess customer needs to address objections, and fulfill the educational requirements of the customer. Conclude each interaction with a commitment to action to influence behavioral changes.

Customer Engagement Development - Craft customer engagement strategies that incorporate key customers and stakeholders across various touchpoints, including Private Practices, Institutions, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and others involved in patient care.

Local Market & Therapeutic Knowledge - Collect and analyze key market trends and dynamics, map account relationships, and apply extensive therapeutic knowledge to identify and prioritize unique opportunities.

Reimbursement Knowledge - Consistently demonstrate awareness of reimbursement trends, proactively address payer access challenges specific to the promoted portfolio using Lundbeck resources, and maintain a deep understanding of the Medicare payer landscape along with other payer channels such as Medicaid and Commercial.

Pharmaceutical Compliance Knowledge - Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory landscape, ensuring adherence to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations regarding the promotion of pharmaceutical and medical products.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution. Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales. Proven ability to excel in disease and product training assessments, including annual product knowledge certification. Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and exceptional communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Must reside within 40 miles of the designated territory. A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required. Compliance with industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers is essential for continued employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience within a specialty product sales team. Prior experience promoting CNS/neuroscience products in primary care and specialty environments. Documented success in sales performance, including recognition through national sales awards. Proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive account plans. Experience in institutional account healthcare sales, including IDNs, Hospitals, and Skilled Nursing Facilities. Familiarity with CNS conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety. Experience in product launches with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in challenging markets. Strong analytical skills and experience utilizing sales data reporting tools to identify trends. Previous collaboration with alliance partners in co-promotions. Leadership experience through participation in committees and related activities.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Willingness to travel domestically up to 30% - 40% to engage with customers and internal teams within the assigned territory, and to attend 4-8 conferences and meetings across the United States.
