About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Sapphire at West Wind. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or mental health
  • Provide companionship and build positive relationships with residents to reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness
  • Assist with serving resident meals and maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
  • Support residents in maintaining independence in their daily routines and decision-making
  • Collaborate with the care team to provide coordinated care and ensure a high level of service
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clarity and understanding of care plans and any changes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or community-based care is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting residents with mobility
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to pass a background check
