Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Jennie Stuart Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing patient care in an office setting under the supervision of our medical providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides patient care in an office setting, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and medical providers to ensure seamless care.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient information and test results.
  • Assists with appointment scheduling, phone calls, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Performs various clinical tasks, such as collecting lab samples, administering medications, and providing wound care.
  • Ensures a clean and organized work environment, including maintaining equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant program graduate preferred.
  • Basic Life Support Certification required; Registered with American Medical Technologist or Certified with American Association of Medical Assistants preferred.
  • Previous experience in medical practice required.
