Job Summary

To provide high-quality patient care and support licensed personnel in delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the completion of patient databases and deliver age-appropriate care.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize care and participate in the development and prioritization of individualized plans of care.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective care and assist with discharge planning needs.
  • Document interventions accurately, timely, and legibly.
  • Administer medication observing the '5 rights' and perform skills and tasks required by unit expectations.
  • Provide a safe environment and include patients, caregivers, and disciplines in care councils and health teaching.
  • Evaluate the efficacy of medications, treatments, and plans of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities and maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory policies.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Successful completion of Nurse Aide course or equivalent.
  • Current Certified Nursing Aide from the state of Kentucky.
  • BLS certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required.
  • One year experience in Nursing/Surgery preferred.
