Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient maintenance of our facilities and equipment. This position will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the facility and equipment in a safe and operational state of readiness at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of up to 15 employees in the Maintenance department, providing direction, coordination, and evaluation of their work.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Supervise the established preventative maintenance program, including lubrication, inspections, and engineering sanitation schedules.
- Participate in the selection, training, and development of engineering department staff.
- Assist in the scheduling of engineering staff to support production and non-production hours.
- Maintain the engineering department's shop and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Assist in purchasing and maintaining proper inventory levels of equipment spare parts.
- Consult with the Maintenance Manager on long-term and short-term improvement needs.
- Assist in managing the engineering department within policy and budgetary guidelines.
- Foster open communication with subordinates and department heads to ensure equipment problems are addressed in a timely manner.
- Maintain comprehensive and complete engineering records, including preventative maintenance schedules, machine history, purchase orders, equipment manuals, and capital expenditure requests.
- Contribute to the production of a consistent quality product through maintaining and updating facility engineering practices.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other personnel throughout the company.
- Bachelor's degree and five years of related bakery or food maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of related bakery or food maintenance experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as production schedules, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Shift: 2nd
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000

The final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry.
