We are currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team and deliver direct patient care in an outpatient clinical environment. This role will also enhance the patient experience by executing administrative and specific clinical tasks under the supervision of a physician or nurse manager, including assisting with patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit exemplary customer service standards by engaging with patients and visitors positively, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Work efficiently to complete tasks thoroughly, optimizing patient flow while maintaining high levels of quality and satisfaction.
  • Guide patients to examination rooms, conduct interviews, and measure vital signs such as weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately documenting all information in the patient's medical record.
  • Verify patient identification details including date of birth and full name.
  • Confirm the purpose of the visit and any relevant injury dates.
  • Provide education and instructions to patients regarding medications and treatment plans as directed by the healthcare provider.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring all necessary reports, lab results, and documentation are organized and accessible prior to appointments.
  • Complete required forms as needed, including disability and FMLA documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to maintain organized systems for efficient patient flow.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with patients.
  • Strong customer service abilities and effective phone communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite and E-Clinical.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification is advantageous.
