Clinical Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor - House Supervisor to join our team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing shift-to-shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and utilization of resources for daily operations.
Responsibilities- Provide care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner, ensuring that care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Role model organizational values and provide real-time feedback to staff to improve performance.
- Lead/participate in department process improvement to improve project outcomes.
- Facilitate employee engagement activities, including professional/shared governance participation.
- BSN required.
- 1 year charge nurse experience preferred.
- Professional experience that demonstrates ability to understand the clinical practice environment, with 2 years clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in specialty preferred.
- Successful completion of unit-specific certifications (PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, chemotherapy certification, etc.).
- Member of professional practice organization pertinent to area of practice preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
- Ability to conceptualize the patient flow process and its impact at the unit and hospital level.
- Ability to implement and sustain process changes to improve department and organizational outcomes.
