Medicaid Eligibility Specialist II - Case Reviewer

The Medicaid Eligibility Specialist II - Case Reviewer plays a crucial role in the evaluation of Medicaid applicants. This position entails conducting interviews with applicants and meticulously examining their submitted documentation to ascertain their eligibility for Medicaid benefits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling both inbound and outbound calls to assist applicants.
  • Performing thorough reviews of applications to ensure compliance with eligibility criteria.
  • Preparing necessary eligibility forms and official notifications.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have completed a minimum of 60 semester credits at an accredited institution or possess equivalent professional experience.

This position is inclusive and welcomes qualified individuals with disabilities who meet the criteria for the 55-a Program. Additionally, opportunities for Public Service Loan Forgiveness are available for eligible candidates.

New York City residency is generally expected within a specified timeframe following appointment.
