Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of perinatal ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for the diagnosis of disease in utero.
  • Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and request accurate clinical histories as necessary for the exam.
  • Review patient histories and determine proper selection of protocols, explaining the examination method and positioning the patient.
  • Assess patient status and needs, complete diagnostic techniques/tests, and perform necessary interventions.
  • Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered, ensuring quality images and coordinating preparation of images/exams and documentation for physician partners.
  • Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately, informing patients of physician instructions or ancillary caregiver observations or concerns.
  • Meet patient, family, and multi-disciplinary team needs through effective communication, coordination, and documentation, ensuring safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment reliability and safety, reporting issues and/or repairs or service due, ordering and stocking supplies, cleaning rooms and equipment, and transporting patients as needed.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction, patient care, and workflow.
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT (S) or ARDMS registry, required.
  • Health Care Provider Life Support certification, required.
  • One (1) year ultrasound experience, preferred.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$37.46 - $57.80
