Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of perinatal ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for the diagnosis of disease in utero.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms and obtain informed consent from patients.
  • Review patient history and determine the proper selection of protocols for each exam.
  • Explain the method of examination and position patients for optimal imaging.
  • Assess patient status and needs, complete diagnostic techniques/tests, and perform necessary interventions.
  • Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered.
  • Coordinate the preparation of images/exams and needed documentation for physician partners.
  • Document and communicate patient-related information thoroughly and accurately.
  • Meet the needs of patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams through effective communication, coordination, and documentation.
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification in Sonography (S) or ARDMS registry is required.
  • Health Care Provider Life Support certification is required.
  • One year of ultrasound experience is preferred.
  • Fetal Echo Certification is preferred.
