Perinatal Sonographer Specialist

Job Summary

As a Perinatal Sonographer at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services to our patients. Under the supervision of a licensed physician, you will operate advanced ultrasound equipment to perform a variety of technical procedures, including fetal anatomic surveys, biophysical profiles, and specialized Doppler studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Perform calculations and measurements to focus exams and obtain necessary data.
  • Position patients to obtain desired images, following physician instructions.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain identifying information and prepare for examinations.
  • Assist with prenatal diagnosis and termination procedures, including selective reduction.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of Perinatal Sonographic experience required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Reg Diagnostic Med Sonographer Fetal Echocardiography Certification within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Advanced knowledge of fetal abnormalities and their diagnosis.
  • Proficient in performing detailed scans of fetal anatomical areas and identifying cross-sectional fetal anatomy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency as granted by the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review or other credentialing body.
