Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to enhance our Project Management team. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership capabilities and excel in a dynamic environment. This role encompasses overseeing contract management and ensuring project efficiency while coordinating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the company’s safety initiatives, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Collaborate with estimating teams to ensure smooth project transitions and conduct thorough pre-construction evaluations.
  • Review and confirm pricing and project scope, manage subcontractor selections, and oversee the issuance of contracts and purchase orders.
  • Establish and manage the submittal schedule, ensuring timely reviews and approvals of shop drawings and samples.
  • Ensure that approved submittals are distributed to subcontractors in alignment with project timelines.
  • Identify potential project delays and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with schedule impacts.
  • Facilitate effective communication among owners, vendors, subcontractors, and other project participants to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance in collaboration with the Superintendent to meet contractual obligations.
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews and prepare budget projections as part of ongoing project assessments.
  • Regularly visit project sites to assess progress and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development efforts.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
  • Foster a positive work environment and uphold a collaborative team spirit.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in project management or field leadership roles is preferred.
  • Estimating skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Proven ability to lead and thrive in a team-oriented setting.
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting construction documents.
  • Familiarity with general construction practices and principles.
  • Exceptional skills in decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project processes and their impact on successful project delivery.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies is a plus.
  • Understanding of accounting principles related to construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
