Job Overview

The Construction Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from initiation to completion. This position demands a collaborative approach, working closely with various internal departments, clients, subcontractors, and design teams to uphold the esteemed reputation of Holt Construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to document control throughout all project phases.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that encompass timelines, logistics, workforce allocation, and task assignments at the project's outset, with regular evaluations thereafter.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of necessary permitting documentation.
  • Engage in the procurement process, including the pre-qualification of subcontractors for review and execution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including financials, schedule adherence, legal matters, and client concerns.
  • Conduct regular site visits, including weekly meetings to discuss project status.
  • Guarantee quality construction standards and the application of appropriate construction methodologies.
  • Review and adjust project schedules based on two-week forecasts prior to scheduled meetings.
  • Examine Requests for Information (RFI) and Submittal logs for accuracy and potential project impacts.
  • Prepare change orders, detailing any cost or schedule implications for executive review.
  • Assess third-party testing reports to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Review contractual agreements to ensure project execution aligns with stipulated terms.
  • Collaborate with project accountants to track and report all financial transactions, including billings and change orders.
  • Compile monthly financial reports for executive review, detailing expenditures and budget allocations.
  • Oversee the project closeout process, ensuring all financial, contractual, and documentation requirements are met.
  • Understand and comply with all contract documents and relevant procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a construction environment.
  • Effectively manage team members, providing clear expectations and monitoring compliance to ensure project success.
  • Ensure team adherence to all safety guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Develop team members to achieve optimal job performance and career growth.
  • Collaborate with Pre-Construction and Estimating teams to maintain a robust subcontractor base.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in construction management or project management, including cost control, scheduling, estimating, and procurement.
  • A minimum of 3 years in an Assistant Project Manager role or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Procore.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced presentation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
