Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified candidate with a proven track record in managing construction projects, specifically within the framework of NYCHA initiatives.

The ideal applicant will possess expertise in the following areas relevant to a Roofing Replacement Project:

  • Asbestos and lead remediation
  • Coordination for the removal of telecommunications apparatus by utility companies
  • Extraction of existing 4-ply membrane roofing material from main structures, bulkheads, and canopies, followed by the installation of a cold fluid applied reinforced roofing system across all facilities.
  • Repair of roof decks on main roofs and bulkheads, including both wood and concrete structures.
  • Restoration or replacement of roof parapets, including railings.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Repairing rooftop structures, which may involve bulkhead repairs, replacement of bulkhead doors, reconstruction of compactor stacks, and replacement of metal staircases.
  • Brickwork repairs at bulkheads and demolition of obsolete smoke rooms.
  • Reinforcement of concrete roof tank support structures and replacement of roof drain bodies and domes, along with all necessary accessories.

Applicants must demonstrate experience in previous NYCHA construction projects as part of a Construction Management or General Contracting team.
