Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cashier II to join our team at Broward College. As a Cashier II, you will be responsible for providing financial services to students and campus departments with a focus on quality customer service. This role requires strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
Apply payments to student accounts by collecting cash and cash-related transactions, evaluating transactions for accuracy and validity, and creating official payment receipts.
Research student account inquiries by evaluating payment, refund, and coverage history, comparing account data from various systems, and consolidating information into a concise explanation.
Provide information to internal and external customers by explaining relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and directing customers to appropriate departments or personnel.
Prepare and reconcile departmental bank deposits for transport to the financial institution by auditing daily cash and cash-related collections, investigating and resolving out-of-balance errors, and packaging collections and completing documentation.

Requirements
Associate's degree preferred, with college-level coursework in business, management, or accounting functions desired.
Three years of progressively responsible experience in a customer service and cashier-related field or work.
Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office products and specialized computer systems.
Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee and student population.
