We are seeking a highly skilled Field Support Specialist to join our team at Segula Technologies. As a Field Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mechanical, electrical, and TCMS features in various engineering fields.
  • Engineering Department Support: Provide on-field deployment support to the engineering department, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data from different systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize project outcomes.
  • Change Request Validation: Validate change requests and modifications to ensure they meet project requirements and company standards.
  • Interface and Communication: Develop strong relationships with internal customers, customers, consultants, vendors, and installation contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Field Support and Testing: Provide field support as required for activities such as testing and commissioning, and internal tests.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Understand technical issues related to each fleet and sub-systems within the platforms under Alstom scope and manage their resolution.
  • System Testing: Perform system test activities such as breakdown tests, operational tests, main line tests, and system level tests.
  • Test Documentation: Accurately complete test documentation, data sheets, marking plans, expense reports, daily logs, and lost time and discrepancy reports.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience testing Signaling, Train Control Systems, or related Rolling Stock product and system interfaces.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Rolling Stock products, system interfaces, and test equipment (VOMs, DMMs, voltage meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, digital multimeters, and signal generators).
  • Soft Skills: Proven railway safety awareness, troubleshooting skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

  • Work Schedule: Assignments often require work to be performed at odd hours and/or extended shifts. Work schedules and hours change often. Working holidays and weekends is not uncommon.
