Residential Support Specialist Role

As a Residential Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals facing psychiatric challenges or developmental disabilities. This position involves providing essential care, assisting families, and working collaboratively with a dedicated support team to foster confidence, independence, and an improved quality of life for our consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications according to the established Medication Administration Plan (MAP)
  • Coordinate medical appointments for consumers
  • Support consumers in daily living tasks and social interactions
  • Engage in housekeeping duties and maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • Ensure compliance with required staffing ratios

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
    • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is advantageous
  • Experience:
    • Preferred one to two years of experience in the human services sector
  • Skills:
    • A valid driver's license is preferred
    • MAP certification and CPR/first aid certification to be obtained within five months of employment (training will be provided)
