Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working effectively with the healthcare team, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including mechanical ventilation, aerosol therapy, pulmonary hygiene, suctioning, oxygen therapy, and inhaled gases.
  • Document patient status, patient response, and respiratory practitioner interventions accurately and clearly.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and provide health teaching to patients and families.
  • Utilize available resources to impact patient care and solve practice problems.
  • Contribute to the development of professional and educational activities, including continuing education opportunities and professional organization participation.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Two-year associate's degree or equivalent experience required; four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required.
  • RRT recognized by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and active Texas license required.
