Position Summary: The On-site Zoom Audio Visual Specialist will primarily engage in Zoom Room project activities. During periods of low activity, assistance may be required with Zoom Phone tasks. Candidates should possess a foundational understanding to operate independently from day one, while specific knowledge regarding the client's internal processes will be imparted.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting and providing user support for Zoom Rooms and general inquiries related to Zoom.
  • Training and assisting Level 1 and other technical personnel.
  • Offering executive support and training to administrative staff as necessary.
  • Monitoring events and providing proactive support, including configuration, updates, and system optimization.
  • Validating new software and hardware, including beta testing.
  • Escalating issues to Zoom Engineering when identified as software-related problems.
  • Documenting and reporting issues, including case tracking and regular reporting.
  • Installing, repairing, and configuring Zoom Rooms.
  • Reviewing audiovisual and mechanical & electrical line drawings for new Zoom Rooms.
  • Documenting and managing inventory of Zoom Room and Phone equipment.
  • Provisioning approved hardware as per client specifications.
  • Creating and setting up Zoom Room account profiles.
  • Assisting as Tier 1 support for networkable Zoom and Crestron devices that may be offline during validation.
  • Conducting site surveys during the transition from audiovisual integrators to ensure readiness for validation.
  • Performing functional validation of each Zoom Room to confirm online status, firmware updates, correct configuration, and operational features.
  • Assisting with the Zoom Phone rollout as time allows.
Technical Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in Zoom Room.
  • Familiarity with Zoom Phone (preferred).
  • Experience with Zoom Portal.
  • Understanding of video, audio, and control line drawings.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings.
Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive understanding of the IT industry and business requirements.
  • Familiarity with the audiovisual and video collaboration sectors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively to overcome challenges.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving issues.
Work Environment: Varies based on client site requirements.

Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit, with lifting capabilities.

Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Required Experience: Background in Telephony Infrastructure Engineering or a similar role.

Additional Qualifications: Must possess a full clean driving license and passport.
