Job Summary

Small Door Veterinary is seeking a seasoned veterinarian to lead our medical team. As a Managing Veterinarian, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, mentoring junior doctors, and upholding our high standards of medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat pets with illnesses and injuries, and counsel clients on pet care
  • Model medical excellence to a team of doctors, ensuring medical operating procedures and guidelines are followed
  • Mentor doctors on clinical skills and individual performance metrics
  • Partner with the Member Experience Manager to support a positive approach between the Medical Team and Member Experience
  • Collaborate with the Head Nurse to foster an environment of open communication and continuous learning
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent with an active state and DEA license, and 8+ years of experience in the field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong communicator
  • Committed to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the code of ethics
  • Leader with experience managing a team and interest in mentoring veterinarians

New York Medical Pay Range $200,000—$220,000 USD
