Job Summary

We are seeking an Armed Security Shift Supervisor to work in the Downtown area. As a key member of our team, you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries, including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, government, and more. You will act as a liaison between site supervisors, account managers, and security officers, supervising staff on assigned shifts and providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment ranges.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day security operations of an assigned client site.
  • Manage a team of security officers, site, and/or shift supervisors, including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support.
  • Ensure the client site is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with clients and employees.
  • Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
  • Work in various environments and conditions, depending on the client site.
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
  • Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
  • Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
  • Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
  • Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Active driver's license.
  • Valid Florida Security License D License and G License.
  • 3+ years of shift supervisor security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Required ability to use a computer or tablet.
  • Required comfort working outdoors in all elements of the weather for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
