Job Summary

The Patient Relations Program Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of healthcare delivery at CHRISTUS Health. This position serves as a single point of contact for patients and families, addressing their concerns and guiding them through their hospital experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve patient and family complaints and grievances in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Facilitate performance improvement processes and patient safety initiatives to support continuous quality improvement.
  • Monitor and coordinate responses to regulatory compliance issues related to performance improvement and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and units to address patient concerns and ensure seamless communication.
  • Provide information on patient involvement in care and mechanisms for reporting safety and care concerns.
Requirements
  • Nursing degree (LVN/RN) or equivalent healthcare-related field.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Internet, email, Meditech, Microsoft Word, and Word Perfect.
  • Knowledge of office machine equipment, including fax machines and copiers.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities and effectively coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • At least three years of experience in the healthcare environment with interaction and problem-solving situations with patients and families.
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse/Registered Nurse with a valid Texas license required, if applicable.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Must hold (or obtain within 60 days of hire) Notary Public Commission in the State of Texas.
