Job Title: Content Writer

We are seeking a skilled Content Writer to join our Shared Services team at Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). As a Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging content that reflects our organization's voice, style, and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, edit, and write content for various communications mediums, including web, monthly magazine, and regular email bulletin.
  • Collaborate with USAC teams to develop and edit clear, concise stakeholder communications.
  • Review and ensure that internal and external written communications, including memos, emails, and online content, reflect USAC brand standards.
  • Copy and/or edit written materials efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure consistency of communications messages across all mediums.
  • Self-manage projects, identifying needs, developing project plans, holding stakeholders accountable, communicating effectively, and coordinating content.
  • Work collaboratively across all levels of the business to gather information, analyze it, and create messages, articles, stories, white papers, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant technical training and certifications.
  • Three to Four years of directly related experience.
  • One to Two years of experience with IT systems and components.
  • Two years of editing, writing, marketing, or communications experience.
  • Effective written communication skills and experience developing content for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, sound judgment, discretion, and integrity.
  • Experience editing material for various mediums, including online content, memos, emails, and internal documents.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, influence, and drive results at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) and Prezi.
  • Familiarity with public relations strategies and brand development and standards.
