Job Summary

Signicast Investment Castings is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing projects from design to production approval.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from design to production approval, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards, prioritizing customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and manage projects, create work instructions, and provide customer support to drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Scrap/Defect Investigation: Investigate and resolve scrap/defect issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Operational Review: Participate in process improvement projects and operational review meetings to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering field.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CAD Proficiency: Prior experience with CAD software.
Skills Required
  • Communication: Effective communication skills internally and externally.
  • Mathematical Skills: Mathematical skills including basic statistical concepts.
  • Problem-Solving: Problem-solving abilities in varied situations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with precision measuring devices, tooling, and manufacturing practices.
  • Quality System Knowledge: Familiarity with quality system requirements, solid modeling, and GD&T principles.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with MS Office Suite products.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role involves sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting. The work environment may include exposure to mechanical parts and fumes. Safety gear is required in manufacturing areas.
