Position Overview:

The Project Management Specialist in Technology is accountable for overseeing all facets of project management for projects of medium to high complexity throughout their lifecycle. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of business objectives and scope, guiding a Team to achieve anticipated project outcomes. The Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the Flight Safety, Security, Regulatory, and Emergency Response (FSSR) Program as a Project Manager/Epic Owner for the Safety Management System (SMS) product line, which aids in Safety incident reporting, Safety risk assessments, and Safety promotions. This position is dedicated to advancing the modernization of our Safety incident reporting system across various Safety incidents, including general Safety reporting and aircraft operations Safety incident reporting. The Project Management Specialist is an effective communicator who can distill complex data while advocating for enterprise-wide visibility and accountability through strategic collaboration, organizational change management, and reporting in a dynamic setting.

Additional Information:

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring Employees to work onsite at least three days a week as designated by the Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop intricate project plans/roadmaps that encompass scope, budget, and schedule, executing tasks outlined in the project plan to meet project objectives using established project management methodologies.
  • Continuously evaluate project needs and resources to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion while managing risks, issues, mitigation strategies, and decisions.
  • Facilitate testing and acceptance of project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with resource managers, Business Partners, and vendors to assemble a project Team, providing ongoing motivation to drive projects to completion.
  • Lead and conduct project meetings and presentations for Leadership.
  • Establish and implement a project communication plan to maintain alignment.
  • Guide Teams and Customers towards informed decisions.
  • Forge cross-functional alliances within and outside the Technology Department to achieve results.
  • Build partnerships to collaborate and influence without authority, gathering Customer and business requirements while effectively communicating with all project Teams and Support groups.
  • Work with development teams to ensure tasks are completed as planned, utilizing analytical methods for task execution, tracking, and budget/timeline management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • Required: Advanced-level experience with specialized knowledge in project management.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SAFe Lean Portfolio Management processes, project processes, and problem management tools.
  • Preferred: Understanding of application impacts on operational and business functions.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, MS Office Suite including SharePoint.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of JiraAlign and/or Jira.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with technology applications such as Salesforce, AWS, etc.
  • Preferred: Experience in data visualization using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.

  • Ability to perform work duties from a limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in English to meet job demands.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive salary ranging from $114,820 to $119,600 per year, based on qualifications and experience. Additional bonus opportunities may be available for eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles at the company's discretion. Additional pay opportunities for Company authorized work beyond part-time or full-time schedules.
