Senior Manager, Global Logistics Pricing Strategy

Are you passionate about shaping strategic initiatives in the evolving Global Logistics sector? Amazon Global Logistics is dedicated to breaking down barriers between Selling Partners and purchasing customers, setting new standards in logistics.

The Global Logistics Pricing Strategy team enables our worldwide operations to achieve a strategic balance between growth and profitability, while prioritizing long-term customer satisfaction and financial sustainability.

We develop tools and methodologies to uncover and drive synergy across supply, demand, operational, and economic planning.

We are looking for a Senior Manager to spearhead the Pricing Strategy for Global Logistics' contract operations. You will:

  • Formulate a vision for pricing strategy, including price positioning, customer assessments, market comparisons, revenue evaluations, and Minimum Quantity Commitment (MQC).
  • Establish enduring partnerships with Finance and Business stakeholders at various levels and guide high-profile leadership discussions on pricing strategies.

The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who takes full ownership, engages deeply with product and Seller value, creates structured frameworks to address challenges, and is willing to actively contribute in a fast-paced setting.

You should possess strong stakeholder influence to drive and facilitate change through insightful analysis and data-driven recommendations. This role requires comfort in communication, supporting your viewpoints, and articulating relevant business inquiries as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define pricing strategies that encompass product value, customer assessments, market comparisons, revenue optimization, and MQC analyses.
  • Establish performance metrics and implement program review processes to continuously refine pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate extensively with Sales, Finance, Operations, and BI teams to create a vision and prioritize the roadmap.
  • Lead new pricing initiatives, including new product value, lanes, fee structures, and support related Go-to-Market strategies.
  • Analyze detailed cost components that pricing can influence to enhance profitability by product, lanes, etc.

Support global business evaluations and pricing narratives (MBR, QBR, 3YP, OP) for Amazon Managed Placement and Storage products, leading leadership reviews and critical discussions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related technical or quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • Proven experience in complex problem-solving and working under tight deadlines.
  • Experience utilizing data and metrics to identify and drive improvements.
  • Experience managing program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Experience establishing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
  • 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding operations with a strong focus on transportation pricing strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related technical or quantitative field.
  • Familiarity with the Global Logistics industry and Contract Pricing.
  • Understanding of P&L to develop pricing strategies that enhance profitability and effectively communicate business implications.

Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
