Unit Overview:
The Cardiac Stepdown Unit (D4) is a 30-bed intermediate care unit that specializes in the care of cardiac patients. Our team is committed to providing comprehensive care for individuals requiring cardiac catheterizations, post-STEMI/angioplasty recovery, management of NSTEMI, post-pacemaker insertion, and treatment for congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiac arrhythmias, as well as patients experiencing hypertension or hypotension who do not meet ICU admission criteria.

Work Schedule:
36 hours per week, Evening/Night Shift, Every Third Weekend

Qualifications:

  • Critical care experience is essential
  • Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience with electronic charting systems; Cerner experience is preferred
  • BSN is preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PCCN or CVRN certifications are preferred
