Job Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position in Sociology. This is an ongoing recruitment, and applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students achieve their academic potential, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of your teaching field. You will also be expected to continue professional development, utilize current technology, and adhere to professional conduct and ethics standards.

The instructional assignment may encompass teaching courses across all levels in Sociology, including introductory courses such as SOC 300 and SOC 301. Specific courses offered may vary by campus. To view a complete list of courses, please visit the Programs and Majors webpage for each campus.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a master's degree in Sociology or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a master's degree in a related field such as Anthropology, Ethnic Studies, Social Work, or Psychology. You must also have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
