Position Overview

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the mental health sector? The State of Connecticut is seeking a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of a Bilingual Recovery Support Specialist. This position is integral to our mission of enhancing the well-being of individuals with behavioral health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in defining and achieving their personal recovery goals through evidence-based methodologies.
  • Guide clients in navigating their recovery plans, focusing on areas such as employment, education, and community engagement.
  • Provide support and resources to empower clients in their journey towards recovery.
  • Facilitate workshops and group sessions to promote recovery and wellness.
  • Act as a peer navigator, helping clients access necessary health and community resources.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with agency standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six months of experience in the mental health or substance use recovery field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Knowledge of recovery management techniques and community support systems.
