Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement curriculum aligned with school objectives.
2. Foster a classroom atmosphere conducive to individualized and group learning.
3. Create lesson plans that promote language acquisition and translate them into engaging learning experiences.
4. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress and adapt instructional methods to meet diverse needs.
5. Maintain accurate records for TESOL/Bilingual students in compliance with regulations.
6. Identify and evaluate students for TESOL/Bilingual services.
7. Provide a supportive learning environment that encourages student responsibility.
8. Utilize native language support to enhance curriculum accessibility for Multilingual Learners.
9. Act as a liaison among students, educators, and families.
10. Administer standardized assessments as required.
11. Offer guidance and professional development to staff on supporting Multilingual Learners.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.

Qualifications:

• Strong passion for student success.
• CT TESOL Certification (111) or CT Bilingual Certification (009) with proficiency in Spanish.
• Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
• Bachelor's degree in an education-related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Prior successful teaching experience with multilingual students is advantageous.

Compensation:

The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, exempt position.
