Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and bilingual Recovery Support Specialist to provide essential support within the Recovery Support Unit. This role involves assisting individuals in achieving their personal goals for successful community integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients in defining and pursuing their recovery goals using established planning tools.
  • Support clients in executing tasks outlined in their recovery plans, focusing on employment, education, and community engagement.
  • Educate clients about their rights and advocate for their needs.
  • Facilitate recovery-oriented interventions tailored to meet individual client needs.
  • Encourage the development of community networks and activities that promote integration.
  • Provide training and instruction in recovery management to clients and their families.
  • Assist clients in navigating wellness activities and securing relevant resources.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and community activities to foster independence.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Six months of experience in the mental health or substance use recovery field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
