Job Summary

As a Lead Training Specialist for the Centralized Appeals Unit (CAU), you will play a key role in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for CAU employees. Your expertise in Medicaid policy and procedures, as well as your experience with project management and communications, will be essential in creating engaging and effective training materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead training programs for CAU employees on Medicaid policy and procedures, LaMEDS, and appeals process.
  • Communicate with the CAU Unit Manager to ensure unit training is aligned with Medicaid policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other Medicaid training units to ensure continuity of messaging and reduction in training overlap.
  • Manage and maintain a catalog of training materials and a calendar of upcoming training sessions.
  • Communicate and promote training opportunities to CAU staff and manage enrollment in training programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree plus three years of professional experience in training, project management, or communications.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in training, project management, or communications related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Louisiana Medicaid policy and procedures.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience working within LaMEDS.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in training, project management, or communications related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Louisiana Medicaid policy and procedures.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience working within LaMEDS.
