Project Manager – Construction Services

At Construction Zone, we are dedicated to delivering excellence in commercial and light industrial construction. The role of the Project Manager (PM) is crucial to our operational success. As a key member of our team, the PM is responsible for overseeing all facets of the construction process to ensure timely, efficient, and successful project completions.

The PM facilitates effective communication among team members and ensures the smooth execution of projects from initiation to final delivery. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, team leadership abilities, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all project aspects, including nurturing client relationships, managing timelines, budgets, and ensuring profitability from project start to finish.
  • Work closely with the Field Superintendent to create, monitor, and adjust project schedules to meet key milestones.
  • Organize and lead project meetings with internal teams and clients.
  • Evaluate and track construction schedules to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Manage contract documentation effectively.
  • Address and resolve compliance issues as they arise.
  • Supervise project progress, labor costs, subcontractors, suppliers, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections for quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure contract obligations are fulfilled within budget and meet client expectations.
  • Maintain daily communication with stakeholders, including owners, project executives, and subcontractors to promote project advancement.
  • Implement safety protocols to uphold company and client safety standards.
  • Keep thorough project records, including change orders, RFIs, and submittals.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in a commercial contracting environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of accounting principles, with strong job costing, budgeting, and change order estimating skills.
  • Familiarity with construction best practices and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • OSHA certification is required.
