Job Title: SIC Civil Foreman

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Foreman to join our team for a project in Holly Springs, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret project specifications, blueprints, and job orders to ensure that construction is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Direct the activities of assigned construction personnel, including concrete masons, helpers, and apprentices.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure that all personnel are aware of and comply with company safety policies.
  • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, taking into account the capacities of equipment and personnel.
  • Direct sub-grade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms.
  • Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of projects.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems.
  • Maintain accurate time records.
  • Follow established procedures and standards.
  • Calculate amounts of concrete required for each project.
  • Detect, recognize, and respond to hazardous conditions or situations.
  • Perform regular safety inspections of work areas, equipment, tools, and personnel to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Appropriate journeyman experience required.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Significant travel required.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
  • Complete all safety and general job training as required by the company.
  • Observe company and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

  • Must be able to effectively use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.
  • Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.
  • Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
  • Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
