Position Overview

The selected candidate will oversee the execution of construction initiatives and manage a team of field personnel within the Telecommunications and Maintenance Division. Key responsibilities encompass project oversight, technical field assessments, troubleshooting, rigging, and crew leadership, all while ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

The Foreman will be tasked with managing daily operations of construction projects and field teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Comprehensive understanding of safely directing field teams and executing ground and aerial construction tasks for telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Proficient knowledge of tower components, connections, and foundations, with the ability to interpret construction documents and plans.
  • Effectively utilize company and/or client software systems for daily updates and compiling close-out documentation as project requirements dictate.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure professional interactions with clients, vendors, internal staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strictly adhere to and enforce safety regulations in line with company, client, industry, and governmental policies.
  • Ability to diagnose site-specific issues and communicate effectively with engineering and management to facilitate timely and safe resolutions.
  • Knowledge of rigging techniques and principles, including the development of project-specific rigging plans.
  • Detail-oriented approach to project management.
  • Manage project-specific budgets based on cost analysis.
  • Provide training and support, including hands-on training, to field personnel.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical equipment, identifying necessary materials, tools, and specialty equipment for project completion.
  • Maintain strong housekeeping practices to ensure organized, clean, and secure project sites, vehicles, trailers, toolboxes, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform hands-on tasks effectively.

Software Proficiency

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is essential.

Familiarity with rigging plan software or similar calculation tools is advantageous.

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience as a Foreman in the telecommunications construction sector.

  • Competent Climber/Certified Rescuer.
  • First Aid/CPR Certifications.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
  • RF/EME Awareness.
  • Competent Rigger Certification.
  • Aerial Lift Operator Certification.
  • Excavator Operator Certification.
  • NWSA TTT-1 certification is preferred.

Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass drug screening and background checks is required.

Must be capable of working at heights and lifting up to 75 pounds.
