Overview:
As a key member of the Human Resources team, you will manage the daily operations of the department, which includes welcoming guests, administering employee benefits programs, and addressing inquiries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to associates with their requests and inquiries, ensuring timely responses to their concerns.
  • Support the recruitment process by screening and interviewing candidates for various positions, collaborating with the HR Director or Manager to enhance hiring practices.
  • Maintain and update Human Resources bulletin boards and other communication channels.
  • Distribute paychecks and manage employee files accurately.
  • Explain benefit options to associates and assist with enrollment and claims processing.
  • Coordinate employee recognition events and programs.
  • Process benefits enrollments electronically as required.
  • Monitor job requisitions and communicate openings through appropriate channels.
  • Facilitate pre-selection activities, including drug testing and reference checks, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Handle transfer requests promptly and communicate with interviewed applicants within the designated timeframe.
  • Assist in achieving the goals outlined in the hotel’s Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Oversee the administration of wages and benefits, ensuring accurate application and compliance.
  • Prepare necessary correspondence and maintain applicant flow logs.
  • Ensure all new hires and current associates have valid employment eligibility verifications.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of hotel operations, including marketing, safety protocols, and labor relations.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop staff.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, plan effectively, and delegate responsibilities.
  • Excellent written communication skills, ensuring clarity and organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
