Job Summary:

The Executive Sous Chef is a key member of the culinary team, reporting directly to the Executive Chef. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation, presentation, and service in the main, grill, and/or banquet kitchens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present dishes that meet the company's quality standards, adhering to food safety guidelines and kitchen protocols.
  • Organize and assist in the service of all activities concerning à la carte, employee meals, and private dining rooms, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
  • Train, supervise, and direct kitchen staff to enhance their knowledge and team spirit, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare work schedules for the kitchen crew and monitor payroll costs, ensuring efficient labor management and cost control.
  • Develop menus for à la carte and banquet services, taking into account seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and culinary trends.
  • Expedite meals and ensure proper quality, portioning, and presentation, maintaining high standards of presentation and plating.
  • Interact with members and guests professionally, handling changes and requests as needed, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Culinary training or equivalent experience.
  • Health Sanitation Card and ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
