About the Role

As a Commercial Office Specialist at AspenTech, you will play a critical role in organizing, authorizing, and presenting customer-facing responses, including budgetary quotes, requests for information, proposals, market assessments, and contracts. You will act as a liaison between DGM's Sales Account Managers, Executive Management, Solutions Engineering, Product Management, and potential customers.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Define the approach, maintain ownership and accountability for the schedule, align the business position to corporate objectives, ensure quality deliverables, and manage full authorization and approval of the final customer-facing package for assigned proposal and contract projects.
  • Review and understand RFPs from both nationwide and worldwide AspenTech customers, ensuring that financial details for each proposal/contract follow AspenTech's needs for Banking, Legal, Security, Development, Business/Commercial Terms and Conditions.
  • Prepare and manage customer correspondence and communications, including preparing and managing customer correspondence and communications.
  • Follow and reference historical pricing and market assessments to support internal pricing reviews, and facilitate the corporate authorization and approval process – adherence to corporate guidelines and commercial model.
  • Work with Solutions Engineering, Sales Management, Product Management, and Executive Management to determine approaches and prepare proposals and contract documents, and act as primary point of contact with internal and external customers to provide support, administrative, and organizational services regarding proposals and contracts.
  • Provide up-to-date information into sales pipeline and forecasting data and do so with accuracy and aligned with proposal solutions as iterations are negotiated, and work with a full range of AspenTech staff to identify and document commercial and technical risk for each proposal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Communications, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with proposal and contract administration, or related experience.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
